Diaspora in simpler terms means a scattered population whose origin lies within a smaller geographic locale. Diaspora can also refer to the movement of the population from its original homeland. The word 'Diaspora' comes from a Greek word which means "scattering, dispersion". A simple definition of diaspora literature, then, would be works that are written by authors who live outside their native land. The term identifies a work's distinctive geographic origins. The present study focuses on various facets of South East Asian Diasporic Literature . This book would be of immense help to students, teachers and researchers of Diaspora.
