At Indian Books and Periodicals, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not entirely happy with your order, we're here to help.
Return Policy
We only accept returns for damaged or defective items within 30 days of delivery. Once an item has been delivered in good condition, it cannot be returned for a change of mind, incorrect selection, or any reason other than being damaged or defective.
To be eligible for a return due to damage or defect, your item must be:
- Reported within 30 days of delivery
- Accompanied by clear photos showing the damage or defect
- In the original packaging (if possible)
- Complete with all accessories and free gifts (if applicable)
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances:
- E-books and digital content
- Gift cards
- Personalized or custom-made items
- Items marked as non-returnable on the product page
- Items that have been used, damaged by the customer, or have missing parts
- Items where the damage was not reported within 30 days of delivery
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7-10 business days.
Refund Methods:
- Credit/Debit Card: Refunds to credit or debit cards typically take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.
- Store Credit: Store credit refunds are processed immediately and can be used for future purchases.
- Other Payment Methods: Refunds to other payment methods will be processed according to their respective policies.
How to Report a Damaged or Defective Item
- Take clear photos showing the damage or defect.
- Log in to your account and go to your order history.
- Select the order containing the damaged item(s).
- Click on "Report Problem" and follow the instructions.
- Upload the photos of the damage or defect when prompted.
- Our customer service team will review your claim within 2-3 business days.
Alternatively, you can contact our customer service team directly to report a damaged or defective item.
Return Shipping for Damaged or Defective Items
If your return request for a damaged or defective item is approved, we will notify you. You will be responsible for the cost of returning damaged or defective items.
We recommend using a trackable shipping service when returning items. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item if you use a non-trackable shipping method.
Replacements for Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective, we will offer a replacement of the same item when available. If the same item is not available, we will issue a refund for the full purchase price.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact our customer service team within 48 hours of delivery. Please provide photos of the damaged item and packaging to help us process your claim more efficiently.
International Returns
For international orders, the same return policy applies, but please note:
- You are responsible for return shipping costs.
- You are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees incurred during the return shipping process.
- The refund will not include the original shipping cost.
