The partition of 1947 was in fact a partition and holocaust of Punjab and Punjabis, be it Sikhs or/and Muslims, respectively! So far books written by various authors in India, Pakistan and abroad write about Hindus and Muslims and the partition of India and mention about the Sikhs is the passing or at the footnotes, who were declared by the British rulers as the third party at par with the Hindus and the Muslims in terms of COMMUNAL AWARD 1932. They were also recognized as rulers by Mughals, Pathans, Afghans etc .. They were ignored as if Sikhs do not matter but 'Sikhs do matter' just like others. They are not just good enough for BARA BAJJU and other Sikh JOKES emanating from PM Nehru's house after 1947. Even his grandchildren Rajiv and Sanjay knew who the Bara Bajjus are! But Sikhs were rulers of Lahore, Patiala, Faridkot Kapurthala, Nabha, Jind etc.
