Emphasis has also been given on the question of determination and allocation of paternity and decline of polyandry and some other multiple marriages. In this study special stress has been given on some of the marriage, that is, sexuality, reproductively and paternity. Also provide very good idea about different aspects of marriage and its types and forms. These volumes are useful for all those who are interested in Sociology, Tribal Studies, Anthropology and other Social Sciences. About the Author: MANIS KUMAR RAHA, (b. 1937) got his M.Sc. and Ph. D. degrees from the University of Calcutta. Shortly after obtaining his master's degree he joined Cultural Research Institute, Government of West Bengal in 1962 and served till 1970. He also served in the special office, Tribal welfare in Jalpaiguri district, Government of West Bengal for a short period from 1969-1970. He joined Anthropological Survey of India, Government of India in 1970 and continued till January 1995 when he retired from active service as joint director. In 1981 he completed a course on Management Development Programme from Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata. During his service period he undertook research work both among tribal and non-tribal people of West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand & Andaman & Nicobar Islands. He was elected as the President, Anthropology and Archaeology section, 83rd Indian Science Congress in 1996. He also undertook research projects of Netaji institute for Asian Studies government of West Bengal. He was the visiting fellow of Dibrugarh University, Assam and also of Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. He is a life time member of different academic organisations and served many of these in different capabilities. He was also the editor or in the editorial Board of different scientific journals He has published over 40 books 200 articles and over 150 book reviews. Even at his over 80 plus years of age he is still writing books, articles and book reviews.
