India gave very appropriately emphasis on technical education because index of growth of engineering and technical education can admeasure the rate of economic growth and development of the country. Presently almost all of the states have one IIT, IIIT and NIT as the institutions of national importance besides its own central, state and private funded universities and colleges affiliated to a state university.
