The Handbook on Indian Social Work will be first book of its kind to be published in India. After the Introduction of New Education Policy 2020, the curriculum of social work at the BSW and MSW level is undergoing significant changes demanding the incorporation of Indian Knowledge systems in Social Work courses in Universities and colleges. The syllabus revision exercises are in progress in many Universities and recently UGC is going to introduce a model curriculum in social work.
