About the Editor: Dr Sister Pearl is presently the Principal of Sophia Girls’ College, Ajmer. Born in 1974, she did her B.Sc. in 1995 from Sophia Girls’ College, MDS University, Ajmer. Her major subject was Home Science and she obtained a first division with first position in the University in B. Sc examination. In M. Sc she opted for Foods and Nutrition and obtained II position in M.D.S University, Ajmer. After clearing SLET from RPSC in first attempt in 2001, Dr Sister Pearl obtained her Ph.D. degree in Foods and Nutrition from M.D.S. University in 2009. Meanwhile she joined the Dept. of Home Science as a faculty member in Sophia Girls’ College, Ajmer. In 2009 she was made as the Vice Principal and after 8 years she was promoted to the prestigious post of Principal in May 2017. In spite of being very busy as Vice Principal and Principal, Dr Sister Pearl has been very particular about taking her classes. Besides Foods and Nutrition, she has been teaching Human Physiology, Textile and Clothing, Community Nutrition and Value Education. Apart from class room teaching Sister Pearl has very actively been participating in Seminars and Conferences. SO far she has attended as many as 15 National and International Seminars. Besides this, Dr Sister Pearl is an excellent organizer and has organized 7 National and International Conferences and Seminars on diversified subjects very successfully. She is a life member of Nutrition Society of India; Indian Dietetic Association and Prison Ministry of India. Her social and community service is also worth mentioning. She has been organizing Literary Programs for poor children, conduction extension activities by giving talks to rural children and youth on health, good nutrition, sex education and family life. She is Chair Person, Committee against Sexual Harassment, DISHA, RCDSSS, Ajmer; Woman Representative from Ajmer Diocese to UKSVK and Ex-Member, General Body, UKSVK Regional Social Forum.
