Birds have not only charmed their way into the mythology and legends, but their colourful, chirpy presence delights the young and the old equally. Many of us enjoy the beauty of their shapes, the vivacity of their movements and their sweet calls. Avid bird watchers have captured the winged beauties within their camera lenses with admirable skill, determination and plenty of patience. This publication is an attempt to document the presence of some of our feathered friends in their natural surroundings. It has photographs of twenty-five birds often seen in a specific area in Kashmir (India). About the Author Dr Sanjay Maurya is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon by profession. When he is not looking through the surgical loupe, he likes to watch birds through the camera lens. Sasmita enjoys watching birds in addition to working with facts and figures. So, she was glad to provide some structure to this book.
