Harmony is a foundation and horizon of our life. But many a time it is locked up in structures of domination and closure. Transformative Harmony interrogates and transforms this condition and makes harmony a part of our multi-dimensional movements of critique, creativity and transformations. It is a practice and movement for the realisation of beauty, dignity and dialogues in self, culture, society and cosmos. Though harmony is part of our life, modern social science discourses have not engaged themselves with it. Transformative Harmony, probably for the first time, offers a multi-dimensional and transdisciplinary engagement with the vision, project and challenges of harmony in self, society, culture and the world. With more than fifty contributors coming from different knowledge, cultural and national backgrounds, Transformative Harmony is a major contribution to our contemporary world of knowledge and has the potential to create new movements of thought and practice about harmony, self and society. Transformative Harmony would be of interest to scholars in philosophy and social sciences especially in such fields as sociology, anthropology, cultural studies, development studies and religious studies and activists as well as striving souls from around the world.
