Subir Biswas exercised a remarkable ministry in Kolkata in the 1970s and died as a comparatively young man in 1977. This book begins by tracing the paradoxical relationship between power and weakness in the Bible and in Christian history. It uses this as a prism by which to look at the life of Subir Biswas. It allows us to become reacquainted with one of the great Christians of the twentieth century, who was well known during his life, but has been largely forgotten since. A final chapter suggests ways in which the insights his life offers might apply to churches in various situations today.
