The present book is an ethno-archaeological study on the pottery and terracotta of Rajasthan with special reference to the pottery and terracotta recovered from the excavation of Ahar and Rangmahal culture. In this connection, the pottery and terracotta of different periods that is chalcolithic(AHAR),early historic(Rangmahal) and the present day are also taken into consideration. The emphasis of study is on art forms, shapes, utility and all other activities that are associated with pottery and terracotta. Through this book the author tried to establish a relationship between different disciplines that is archaeology, ancient history, Indian culture and anthropology. Apart from the ethno-archaeological studies, the author also tried to record and document the traditional knowledge of the cultural heritage on pottery and terracotta art and craft of Rajasthan.
