Meghadūtam has more than one hundred commentaries from all the part of India. Rangadása a native of Khandapaļāgarh, a princely state of Odisha has attempted a commentary of Meghadütam. The text exposes his originality of grammatical and literal acumen thereof. The book is published in the method of textual criticism neatly. The unpublished manuscripts are from Odisha State Museum, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, in broken condition. With much difficulty it could see the light of the day.
