HRP Practices are an integral part of business and organization planning. It involves detailed planning to establish the future manpower requirements at every level, by category, skills, etc., at a series of points in time, and subsequently planning the manpower supply to ensure the people required are available at the right times. This research is totally about the effectiveness of HRP Practices, and their impact on organizational performance. Eleven components have been selected for HRP practices, i.e. job analysis, demand and supply forecasting, recruitment and selection, induction, training and development, performance appraisal, career planning, succession planning, job rotation, promotions and transfers and compensation and to measure the impact of organizational performance, four variables have been taken i.e. efficiency, technology, motivation and job satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to compare the HRP practices and their effectiveness in public, private and foreign telecom sector of Punjab and even to measure the impact of these practices on organizational performance.
