Formerly, Chief Technical Adviser FAO/UN and the Indian Planning Commission and Consultant to several UN Organisations. His publications include 15 books and more than 160 research papers. A Regional Development Planner by profession, his technical expertise covers urban and regional planning, rural area development, multilevel planning, eco-development and human resources development.
